IT'S A WRAP

0

Who said good things come in small packages? I believe it is great things come in well decorated packages. Big or small. Prettier the better. And what is truly better that finding the perfect gift than to wrap it in an unique style? There is nothing prettier than custom handmade gilded wrapping paper tied with a satin bow. This quick and easy creative project will give you great reviews, just in time for the holiday gift giving season.

This is what you will need for the gilded wrapping paper-
Gold Metallic Paint
Brown Craft Paper
Natural Sponge
Newspaper
Paper Towels
Disposable Gloves
Disposable Pan
Self Adhesive Felt Furniture Glides
Wine Cork

Prep your work area with several layers of newspaper to protect the surface you are working on. Make sure to work in a well ventilated area when using this paint. Wear the gloves.

Shake the unopened jar of paint. Pour into the disposable pan.

Dip your sponge into the paint.

Use the paper towel as a blotter to remove excess paint.

Lightly sponge the paint on the craft paper. Rotate the sponge. Sponge all over the paper.

Start covering the paper lightly with the paint. Stand back and look at the effect. It is far easier to start with light layers, and later add a little heaver layer if you wish for more of a gilded look. I prefer a light look.

Let dry.

Dip your fingertips into the paint and “flick” the paint onto another sheet of craft paper. Cover the paper with the paint.

Let dry.

Remove the self adhesive sticker on the back of the felt glide and attach to the wine cork. Now you have a polka dot stamp.

Wrap your gift and tie it with a beautiful satin bow.

And how cute is a decorated gift bag?

Now you are done and it’s a wrap. Happy giving. So pretty.
